Check it out for yourself
Welcome to VisionaryScalp's before and after pictures. We are proud to display our work and the sharp treatments we have done for our clients. SMP before and after photos give insight into a clinic's craftsmanship and talent. By looking at the difference between the two images you are able to see the non surgical hair loss solution in action.
Below is our process on our SMP procedure. The treatment will be complete after a number of sittings, which is usually a minimum of 3, potentially more depending on the individual.
The process kicks off with a detailed consultation. We will assess your current situation and plan the route forward, including styles, the amount of sessions and requirements for your first treatment session. We will also walk you through the procedure in person.
During this consultation any of your questions will be answered so you have everything you need to being the treatment.
For your scalp micropigmentation to look the best quality and authentic is simply can't be done in a day of treatment. As a rule of thumb you will require a minimum of three sittings.
In your first session, we will start mapping out your treatment (of course this will vary depending on your required treatment). After mapping out, you will be left with some initial impressions.
In your second session, we will sit down and make more impressions to give your scalp a layered looking effect. It will start to all come together in this session. Grain, density and darkness will be added to give a natural effect.
After each session, you will start to see the results take shape.
For some individuals, this may be your last treatment, but in this session, we will make more impressions on your scalp and finishing touches.
We will also give you a complete aftercare guide to ensure that you are left with long-lasting results.
Don’t worry, if you require more than three sessions it isn’t bad, it just means that we need to do a little extra work to ensure we give you the best results possible.
This could be down to many factors, such as the size of the area being treated, skin type, potential scarring and more.
Your treatment is now complete! Aftercare is just as important as the treatment to ensure long lasting effects.
Upon completion we will talk your through how to maintain your scalp micropigmentation, but you can also find a detailed aftercare guide here too.
Experts are trained to use SMP techniques in creating many styles. During your initial consultation, you can ask our team about your preferred style. Scalp Micropigmentation is ideally suited for hair loss, irrespective of its nature and severity. Below are some of the common treatment cases:
- Male pattern baldness
- Alopecia
- Scar camouflage
- Cover-ups (of previous treatments, such as a hair transplant)
The initial session is typically longer as the foundations for the treatment are set. The following treatments are usually shorter as we are layering the impressions to create an authentic, 3D look.
Scalp micropigmentation is permanent cosmetic products or cosmetic makeup. Often called a cosmetic hair/scalp tattoo, these procedures usually last four to six years. Clients may feel an initial slight fade at this time and return to get a good check-up/top-up session.
Once you've finished your sessions, the SMP lasts for an extended period. The typical life expectancy is about six to seven years in age. During this period colour fades.
The results can easily be seen so the head looks like it is closely razor-trimmed, however there are 1-2 applications required to complete the final look. It will appear darker once the pigment dries up after 5-7 days.
Scalp Micro Pigmentation is a fantastic technique for creating realistic-looking hair. Usually, clients tell us how their friends and family say they look so much younger and that they are overall happier in themselves with the treatment due to their increase in confidence. We can tailor our service whether you have long, short or no hair.
Some common issues are:
Discoloration, usually with blue hues.
Oversized impressions that won't match real follicles.
Pigments migrate, creating the effect "fried egg" on skin.
Unnatural hair lines look drawn out.
The good news is that all these 'drawbacks' won't happen with a reputable artist.
The results are immediate, so you will look like you've had your hair trimmed and hairline sharpened. The colour of the pigments will become lighter after settling or when you've washed away all excess (ink) pigments.
Unlike the other methods, the SMP doesn't harm existing hair follicles. You have nothing to worry about there, the treatment can only make your scalp look better.
I mean, scalp micropigmentation is permanent. That means the benefits they bring are permanent too. There are so many benefits that other treatments simply can't match. Although, there is also a caveat.
Over time, the replicated hair follicles will fade. This can easily be solved with a single top-up session to restore the look, and these are usually after around 3-4 years. The treatment can last longer, but we recommend keeping on top of it to get the best results.
Should you wish to remove the treatment, like a traditional tattoo, scalp micropigmentation can be removed using laser removal treatment. The most common reason people have their tattoos removed is usually due to them not being happy with the outcome, which is most common when going with an unreliable technician.
We don't think you can regret scalp micropigmentation if you have done these things:
Done your research: By understanding the process, final product and what you must be aware of you will be completely aware of the treatment and nothing will be left to surprise you.
Chose a reputable artist: By looking around for a reputable artist you will be in great hands. Price is not always the best answer, after all, the treatment is permanent! Talented artists will put any concerns to rest and will help answer any questions you may have. It is always best to read their reviews and look at their previous work to gauge their previous client's opinions.
Scalp Micro Pigmentation is a very versatile treatment for all forms of hair loss. Whether your hair is thinning, receding or completely bald, a scalp tattoo can effectively address and help in each scenario.
Most clients have between 3-4 sessions starting from £300 per session, however this will vary with your individual needs. Each session can be paid for individually and booked at your convenience. You can find out detailed pricing guide here.
Similar to a traditional tattoo, there will be a mild discomfort which is very readily managed with a short break when needed.
SMP typically lasts for many years, although like any tattoo it slowly fades over time. The good news is it can always be replenished with a single top-up session. Most of our clients book a top-up every 1-2 years however this is dependent upon the individual.
VisionaryScalps is based in South-Croydon but have mobile facilities allowing your SMP treatment to take place in the comfort of your own home. We also use a central London based clinic to be used at your convenience, whichever is most comfortable for you is the one we recommend.
There are an assortment of products that can help keep it looking its best, all of which can be purchased through Visionary Scalps. After care is essential, therefore we have a comprehensive after care guide. If you have any other questions be sure to send us a message!
Both your hair and skin colour impact the final result of the treatment so we will be sure to choose an ink pigment that works best to match your natural follicles.
